Founded in 1778 by Daniel Doncaster in Sheffield, UK, the business was built on a reputation for metallurgical expertise, craftsmanship, and reliability. That heritage continues to underpin Doncasters today, as we focus on advanced manufacturing and the investment casting of high-performance superalloys for demanding aerospace and industrial applications.
In 2020, Doncasters underwent a change in ownership and launched a management-led turnaround focused on operational excellence, financial performance, and customer centricity. Under current leadership, the business has refreshed its management team and sharpened its focus on execution and delivery.
Since the start of this transformation, Doncasters has invested more than $160 million in capital expenditures to expand capacity, increase productivity, modernise assets, reduce scrap rates, and materially improve quality and on-time delivery performance.
This operational improvement has driven strong margin expansion, increasing EBITDA margins from mid-single digits to today’s significantly higher levels.
Doncasters employs approximately 3,000 highly skilled professionals across 14 state-of-the-art facilities in six countries.
This combination of heritage, investment, and execution positions Doncasters for sustainable growth while continuing to meet the exacting standards of our global customer base.
